Getting started
Connect ChatGPT Desktop to Erawan Cloud, step by step
This lesson connects the ChatGPT app on your computer to Erawan Cloud, one step at a time, with nobody there to help. Every step has a real screenshot, and the numbers in the orange boxes match the numbers in the text. At the last step ChatGPT reads your Erawan account back to you. When it does, you are connected.
Want a hand from the start? Erawan gets your first app online for free on Hobby and above.
Using ChatGPT in a browser, or using Claude? Each has its own guide: ChatGPT on the web · Claude Desktop · Claude on the web
Before you start
- The ChatGPT app on your computer, signed in. If you don't have it, download it from chatgpt.com/download.
- A paid ChatGPT plan, Plus or above. The free plan runs out after a few tries: a little way into the work it says you have used your quota, and you have to wait for it to come back.
- An Erawan Cloud account. If you don't have one yet, you can sign up free on the way, at step 6.
- One empty folder for the files ChatGPT makes. Make it now, or at step 9.
1. Open Settings
Click your profile picture at the bottom left of the app and choose Settings (1).

This menu opens from the profile picture at the bottom left.
2. Add an MCP server
- In the menu on the left, choose Plugins.
- Click Add at the top right.
- Choose Add MCP server.

Settings → Plugins → Add → Add MCP server
3. Fill in the form
- Name: type erawan_cloud.
- Type: choose Streamable HTTP.
- URL: paste the address below.
- Leave every other field empty and click Save.

The name in the picture is Erawan Cloud. Once saved, it shows in the list as erawan_cloud.
4. Click Authenticate
- Click the MCPs tab.
- On the erawan_cloud row, click Authenticate.

Your browser then opens an Erawan page by itself.
No Authenticate button means you are already signed in. Skip to step 8.
5. Click Sign in and connect
Erawan's connect page asks whether to connect ChatGPT. Click Sign in and connect (1). The pictures show Erawan's pages in Thai; the buttons are in the same places in English.

This page opens in your browser after you click Authenticate.
Don't click Connect without an account (struck through in the picture). It isn't tied to your account, and anything you make that way is deleted within 24 hours.
If your browser is already signed in to Erawan, this page and step 6 don't appear, and you go straight to step 7.
6. Sign in, or sign up
- With a Google account: click Continue with Google.
- Or with LINE: click Continue with LINE. You can type an email and password below instead.
- No account yet: click Create an account. It is free, and when you finish you come back to the connect page by yourself.

Any one of these is enough.
7. Check the account, then click Connect
- Check that the account shown is yours. If it isn't, click Use another account.
- Click Connect.

The name and email are blurred here. Yours will show your account.
This page also has an “or connect without an account” link. Don't click that one either. Once you have clicked Connect, go back to the ChatGPT app.
8. Start a new Project
To work with files on your computer, ChatGPT needs a Project tied to a folder. The website files ChatGPT makes for you are kept in that folder.
- At the top of the app, click the Work tab.
- Under the box you type in, click Choose project.
- Choose New project.

The Work tab is at the top of the app; Choose project is under the typing box.
9. Name it, then choose a folder
- Project name: anything you like, for example AI Coding.
- Next to Add a folder on, it must say this computer. If it says something else, click it and change it.
- Click Add and choose the empty folder you made, or make a new one from that window.

It has to be this computer.
Choose an empty folder, not the whole Desktop or Documents folder: ChatGPT can read and change every file in the folder you choose.
10. Click Create project
- Check that it shows This computer and the folder you chose.
- Click Create project.

The folder name is blurred in the picture.
11. Click Trust folder
ChatGPT asks Trust this folder?, which is asking to read, change and run files in this folder. Click Trust folder (1).

It only asks the first time you use the folder.
12. Ask it to read your account
In the Project you just made, type this and send it (1).
In English, “Use Erawan Cloud to read my account” works the same. When it is connected, ChatGPT answers with your Erawan account (2): your name, email, plan and number of apps.

An answer like this means you are set up.
From now on, use this Project on this computer. You don't need to set anything up again.
If you get stuck
- No Authenticate button. You are already signed in. Skip to step 8.
- No Erawan sign-in page. Your browser remembers your Erawan account, so it goes straight to the confirm page at step 7. Check it is your account before you click Connect.
- Connected the wrong account. Sign in to console.erawan.cloud with the wrong account, go to Integration → Connected agents, and click Disconnect on ChatGPT's row. Then start again at step 4, and on the confirm page click Use another account.
- “You’re out of Codex and Work usage”. Your plan's quota is used up. Wait for it to come back, or upgrade your plan.
- ChatGPT says it can't use Erawan. Type /mcp in the chat and send it, then look at the erawan_cloud row. If it says Not authenticated, do step 4 again.

What /mcp shows before you have signed in.
